Thank you to the CAQ school for letting me into their world!

For anyone who’s not familiar with capoeira, I highly recommend watching a few videos on YouTube to get an idea of what it sounds like.

  1. Dana,

    These are some beautiful pictures. I just started capoeira and love it.

    I have a question about taking capoeira pictures though. Do you have any advice on taking better pictures of movements? Normally they look blurry when I take them, however, I’m not sure if it’s my camera (cheap digital) or I’m not taking it properly.

    Thanks!

      Thanks!

      Capturing movement with that sort of camera is probably going to be kinda difficult. You need to use a faster shutter speed. If your camera doesn’t have that option (and it might not, but you can check under the manual settings) your best bet might just be to turn on the flash, and make sure to warn people so they’re not startled by it. =)

  2. Dana..

    These pictures turned out great. I hope Mestre Ombrinho saw this, he will def be very happy. Will you be posting up the rest of the pictures too? Or should we make a separate request for that :D

      Thanks, I’m glad you liked them! I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to send you guys as many pictures as humanly possible without clogging up any servers, email inboxes, etc. Rest assured they’re coming your way!
      Dana =D
